The Vigil Project offers one-on-one coaching to Catholic musicians serving in the choir loft, missionary space, or other creative capacities. Musicians often work with one of our formation directors, Andrew Goldstein, who offers broad experience both in sacred music and devotional music.
Coaching happens on a monthly rotation. Each month begins with a 1-hr Zoom call where we'll pray together, explore your goals, discuss challenges, and get expert insight in real-time. In between calls, we utilize our video messaging platform to touch base throughout the month and continue to answer questions or address challenges.

Hi, I'm Andrew!
First and foremost, I'm a Catholic and a father of five. This informs everything I do personally and professionally! My heart is to help Catholic musicians thrive and to aid the church-at-large remember its beautiful heritage of song.
As a parish musician myself, I know that music directors often feel isolated, unappreciated, undervalued, and unsupported. I'm here to help you pray, reconnect with the Lord, take a step in your musical and intellectual growth, and jump into the deep waters of whatever the Lord has asked of you.
A bit about me: I spent fifteen years working in chamber music and nonprofits. I love chant and polyphony, and I also love praise & worship and folk song. All of these kinds of music have been important at certain points in my relationship with God. I live in South Bend, Indiana, and am a published author with Word on Fire, with a two-volume book (Musica Domestica) releasing in February 2027. I've helped to found and establish dozens of nonprofits, and am on a lifelong mission to restore the church and our culture through beauty.
