Way of the Star
Way of the Star is a meditative journey into the story of Christ’s Incarnation. Through five original musical compositions and four lyrical “responsories,” you’ll be drawn into the Scripture passages of the Infancy Narrative (Luke and Matthew) with an invitation to encounter and contemplate the Word of God with renewed depth. The album is best experienced in its full multimedia version, with integrated artwork by Natalie Barker (Colors by Natalie).
True Presence
This full-length album from The Vigil Project focuses on a central theme of Eucharistic devotion and recognition of Christ’s true presence therein. The album features six original songs and four new arrangements of familiar Eucharistic hymns. True Presence also serves as The Vigil Project’s debut album for some incredible new artists on the team: Corrie Marie, Sophie Salopek, Andrew Ferguson, and Hannah Shea are all featured alongside some of the familiar faces and voices of The Vigil Project.
Honest
Honest is a new album from The Dwell (featuring Vigil members Andrew Ferguson and Sophie Salopek), presented by The Vigil Project. These eight songs weren’t written around a particular theme, but rather little pieces of their own prayer journeys. Each song is a brief glimpse into the many moments of the Christian prayer journey. Written and arranged by Andrew Ferguson and Sophie Salopek.
Two new singles for 2022
"We Adore You" is a Lenten song through and through. It reflects on those familiar words that we recite before every Station of the Cross. Perhaps the twist in this song is the anthemic, victorious proclamation made by the music itself. At first, maybe this seems like a counterintuitive arrangement, but make no mistake: we adore and praise Jesus Christ precisely because it is by His cross that we are redeemed. The sign of His cross is in fact now the sign of our redemption. We fast, pray, give alms, and mourn the passion of our Lord during this Lenten season, but we keep always before us the victory of our Lord.
"All things New" is a commissioned theme song from the Archdiocese of New Orleans for the March for Life. Our Chaplain, Fr. Colm Cahill, wrote two weeks prior to the march and asked if we could put a song together...of course, we couldn't resist the challenge! As the song came together, it was obvious that it needed to be shared with a wider listenership. It also holds within it all the themes of new life that we encounter during the Easter season. It is indeed our Easter prayer that Christ would make all things new in us and our world.
A Jesús por María
Seven writers, three performing artists, and two producers, located across two continents and communicating in two language, worked and prayed together to bring this collection of songs into existence. Our debut Spanish album in collaboration with Athenas, Veronica Sanfilippo, Nico Cabrera, Jonatan Narvaez, and Tobias Buteler.
Series 1
Live-recorded album of original songs for the sacred seasons of Lent and Easter. Series 1, our debut project, holds a special place in our hearts since it manifested our original vision for collaboration and creating beautiful music for the sacred seasons of the Church.
Series 2
Live-recorded album of original songs for the sacred seasons of Advent and Christmas. This was our second album as a group and the sister project to Series 1.
Christmas Classics
Studio album featuring familiar Christmas hymns and songs. We created this project to supplement the collection of original songs we released on Series 2 and to give more music to those hoping to celebrate fully the season of Christmas.
Devotion Vol. 1
Studio album featuring a collection of original songs for ordinary Catholic devotion. The themes range from the love of the Holy Spirit to unfailing faithfulness of God to the embrace of our Mother, Mary. In addition to exploring new instrumentation while maintaining some elements of the ‘Vigil’ sound, this project exudes an ethos of praise and of worship that’s uniquely Catholic.
Live At The Steeple
Live-recorded album that captures the experience of one of our mission-concerts that we played in Mobile, AL in Advent of 2017. If you want to get a little taste of what it’s like to be in the same room with our team for a night of prayer and song, this album offers that experience.
Exodus
Exodus was written as a musical “Lectio Divina” of sorts, with its instrumental compositions inspired by contemplation on the Scriptural chapters of Exodus. Journey through the Word of God and experience His voice in a new way through dynamic instrumental music for prayer and reflection.
Metanoia
An original song for the Ministry of The Wild Goose to accompany their new video series called Metanoia. This song is a reflection on this movement of where we are in relation to Christ, and an invocation that He would reveal to us who He truly is.
Pieta (Dulce Madre)
Pieta (Dulce Madre) is a Spanish single we wrote and recorded with artists Nico Cabrera (US) and Athenas (Argentina) along with producer Jonatan Narvaez (Argentina). As sons and daughters of the same Father, we also have a mother, the Blessed Mother. This collaboration is an invitation to pray as one universal Church to our Mother.
Adeste Fideles
Adeste Fideles is a celebration of the Universal Church. This song was recorded from across two continents in collaboration with our good friends in Argentina. We decided to recording in all three languages for this beautiful arrangement of the Christmas standard - English, Spanish and Latin.
