THE ANNOUNCEMENT

On July 10th, The Vigil Project is publicly launching a new online platform unlike anything that currently exists: a place for Catholic musicians (that’s you and us) to connect with a community, pray together, collaborate, and be equipped for their mission through an abundance of resources. We’re pumped!

A place to learn.

The platform will offer videos and print resources, including:

  • A library of video content on liturgy, devotion, tech skills, creative skills, songwriting, and more.

  • Dynamic live events and livestream interviews with notable musicians in the field.

  • A host of print resources like sheet music, reflections, event checklists, resources on learning music, and much more.

A place to collaborate.

The platform will connect musicians, provide space to spark collaboration and help musicians find opportunities:

  • A community square for Catholic musicians to find collaborators, network, share projects, and post opportunities.

  • There is a dedicated space for songwriters to get peer review of creative projects.

  • Regular “Ask Vigil” livestream sessions where you can bring your burning questions, seek guidance, and pray together.

A place to pray.

The community will be centered on a life of prayer, helping Catholic musicians remain rooted in Christ:

  • We will host a weekly live prayer session so you can start each week with a time of prayer with like-minded Catholic musicians.

  • We will offer trainings on the prayers of the Church, including the Mass, Liturgy of the Hours, and various devotions.

THE ASK

Will you support us as we take the final steps to launch this platform to the very best of our ability with all the excellence it deserves?

Every year, we hear from musicians who want to grow in their craft but are unable to for reasons like financial limitations or time constraints. We have long sought a better way to serve Catholics who are musicians in various capacities, be they music directors, volunteers, touring artists, teachers, or musicians creating secular music. In short, we want to create a space for all of us who are called to be Catholic musicians to come together in community to grow and be supported in our mission.

If you can help with a donation, make a gift using the form at the top of this page. Patrons of $600 or more will get a “Founder Badge” on their platform profile plus immediate early access to the platform as our humble thanks for making the platform possible. Patrons of $1,200 will also get lifetime free access to the platform, a “Founder Badge”, and immediate early access.

The community will be open to all on July 10, 2024. We can’t wait to bring this to Catholic musicians around the world.
